Description
China Business Development Manager will be accountable for leading focused Thermoplastic segment and driving commercial growth aligned with sales team.
The ideal candidate has experience in managing & building relationships at all levels including the executive level, having the negotiation skills to assemble and execute a deal with key partners, business acumen, and knowledge of technical products and applications.
The position reports directly to China Business Development Leader - Glass Reinforcements Solutions.
Responsibilities
1. Live the Safety stand, adhere to the safety responsibilities.
• Provide leadership in safe working practices, promoting safety awareness and performance for self and others in all areas of responsibility to achieve full compliance with site and company standards and guidelines.
• Implement safety culture into new product application
2. Winning with Our Customers and Achieving Commercial Growth
• Formulate segment developing strategies in line with profitable growth objectives with a focus on end-use market segments;
• Execute growth strategy through developing a continuous understanding of market needs, trends, competition, innovation and through breakthrough new applications, new products for customers and prospects;
• Manage strategic customers
• Identify new opportunities for composites materials, to turn opportunities into business and define the way will create and capture value through new sales, new products, new processes, new services, downstream integration;
• Provide strategic leadership on price recommendation and effectiveness of target pricing based on unique value propositions;
• Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activity, technology changes and drivers further down the value chain
• Understand the business model & profitability in relevant markets;
• Apply materials technology to create unique value;
• Share the technology with our customers
3. Customer Interactions
• Initiate & implement customer communication, events and trade shows together with Marcom team;
• Extend brand awareness and impact through promoting at seminars, fairs and workshops, in partnership with institutes, university research teams, and industry experts;
Job Requirements
Experience:
1. At least 5 years working experience and 2 years in sales or marketing function preferred;
2. Strong technical background in composite applications, especially related to Thermoplastic, for instance, RTP, LFT-P/D, GMT and etc.
3. Experience in preparing AUTO business cases and project management.
Knowledge and Skills:
1. Bachelor Degree required, MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred;
2. Proficiency in English and Chinese
3. Strong communications and influencing skills;
4. Relationship building, strong interpersonal skills;
